I have developed well over 100 websites throught the years.
But, most sites, are redone every year or so. And especially true in this new technology, everyone seems to have a new webmaster every year!
Of course the first thing a new webmaster does is to change your site to the new improved version!
BEWARE of That! Has Microsoft changed their layout that much? A little. The point is, if something is working stick with it. Yes make small changes, but keep consistancy.
So I tell my customers, yes we can redo your site, but the logo, and other key items need to stay, so that you have "identity".

A great way to get more out of your website is to use as much promotion as possible. Take a look at Google+. You may find that it enhances your website! Your not going to get a million eyeballs looking at your website, unless you have some great content of a fantastic marketing scheme. In the meantime, get a Google+ account, start making friends, and follow some smart people and see, read, embrace what they are doing to be successful. If it works for them, try tweeking it into your marketing strategy and see if it can help you.
